Forever floor art from the Mornington Peninsula to you.
A simple plant in a pot can change the whole dynamic and vibe of any room in your home. Mimo Pots is about colour, joy, happiness, and simple, bright designs that’ll make you smile every time you walk through the door.
Made from super-lightweight clay fibreglass and available in four sizes, each unique pot is designed and hand painted on the Mornington Peninsula. We like to call them floor art.
We’ve recently launched a collection of forever blooms! (artificial plants) that are so convincingly real, you won’t know the difference.
Colour me happy, baby!
Behind the pots
Hey! I’m Sage.
A Mornington Peninsula Mum with a love of creativity, interiors, colour and art.
Mimo Pots started as a hobby to keep me occupied during lockdown 1.0 back in 2020.
I began painting terracotta pots for my own home and after lots of interest from friends and family, I took the plunge when an opportunity came my way and turned my art into a business that’s now flourishing.
Creating art decreases negative emotions, reduces stress and anxiety, and improves overall health and mental wellbeing, so when I paint it literally soothes my soul.
Being creative requires a level of vulnerability that can be pretty confronting. I have a house full of sample designs that may never see the light of day in case no one likes them, haha!
But the creative process is a wonderful confidence builder because it shows that failure is just part of the process, and once you see that failure is also survivable and can help you grow and learn, you release fear and trust yourself more.
The best part of running a small business is the beautiful community I’ve created with other small business owners. Supporting fellow women and having loyal cheerleaders on the sideline gives me butterflies of excitement. It's wild and FUN!
I never imagined Mimo would grow so much in just a few short weeks. I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had, and I hope you enjoy being part of the Mimo community.
Now let’s fill your space with beautiful pots and plants that make you happy, shall we?
